Happy February everyone! I’m celebrating it with some new stock on the etsy.com store! I’ve been a busy little bee in my time off, and have a whole bunch of newbies online for your purchasing pleasure. Remember, you’d throw more money at a lesser quality product walking through the mall…why not plan ahead and support hand-made crafts, created with love and care. Your support goes directly to the creator (me), who in turn supports independent suppliers and crafters. A whole lotta love going on there! Hey, and these would be perfect for your lady friend come Valentine’s Day (you have to be quick though, as postage times are a little out of my control).
So, in between everything else…job seeking, wedding planning (again), crafting, being a super awesome housewife etc. I have decided I need a haircut. It has been a while since I had a proper one, cos I thought I might grow my hair for a bit. But I’m now over it and ready to chop it off. Well, not all of it. Just some of it. Not long before an interview I had a couple of months ago I accidentally died by hair a really really dark brown (read black), or so said the packet. I’m surprisingly pleased with it so want to keep that going, especially as we move into autumn (anytime now autumn, I’ve well and truly had it with your forthright sister summer!). This of course, has led me to teh Google (the intentionally misspelled, look at me down with the interweb kiddies).
My husband loves me dearly. I know this because he’s contractually obliged to. But he’s neither a fan of the two ladies from whom I’ve decided to take inspiration for my new haircut. And it’s only Google that has made me realise just how ‘separated at birth’ these two ladies are! I have their blue eyes, and I now have their dark locks…all I need now is the kick ass skinny body and I’m set! I think I can get away with it…if I promise not to sing.
Ladies and gentlemen, separated at birth, Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel! Or is that Zooey Deschanel and Katy Perry? Who can tell!

Months after the various supplies arrived I have finally found the motivation to work on something new…and a little bit steampunk’d. It’s a work in progress, but for a first effort I’m not too disappointed. I have managed to burn my fingerprints off with the glue gun though! Must be more careful next time!
I’ve recently had a craft-spurt motivated by my lack of employment as well as, initially, strange sleeping patterns. The results have been uploaded to my etsy.com store. I’m really enjoying covered buttons. They’re just cute! Anyway, more of the ‘classic’ headbands are now available too.
I’m also currently working on a batch of new greeting cards featuring pinwheels, like the ones I made for my wedding decorations!
I think my crafty-ness may be becoming an obssession!
